Frank Valenza (The Palace, Proof of the Pudding) and wife Marlies Jung`s intimate, 60-seat, restaurant is a haven of fine dining on the Upper West Side. The chandeliered, oak-paneled rooms are cozy and appealing. Vintage service plates top each table (no two are alike), oil paintings, fanciful wreaths, and an antique doll collection ornament nooks and crannies. Patrons rave about signature dishes like roast rack of lamb, penne wild mushroom ragout, and pan-seared Canadian salmon.
