Please don't judge French food by what you eat here. bad bad experience. We will need that food to digest before we can create a hilariously funny story about the salty spinach (which was actually very well cooked, probably the best thing there if they hadn't so over salted it)--the Tarte tin tin swimming in watery carmel, and the tasteless, dry beef in the coconut sauce was not edible. I didn't particularly like the cauliflower gratin but I can't say it was ` bad`. Trying to be fair, salad was fine, the scallop dumplings (quenelles) weren't bad; sauce was well seasoned but heavy with flour; service was fine; linen was clean, but that main dish and dessert was a killer--neither my dinner companion nor I could eat our braised beef with coconut milk. The saddest thing is that you could tell that this restaurant is trying--they just plain don't know what good food is. Look at the effort in the menu; the little cauliflower gratin cooked in a round pan; the spinach was prepared from fresh. The crust of the tarte tin tin was not bad, but the apples were undercooked--and the fact that the whole thing was swimming in a liquidy burnt sugar sauce didn't add any value. I would rather have had canned tuna and saltines at home. A waste of good money.
