Nobody goes to La Nova's for the neighborhood - it's on the West Side of Buffalo, a notoriously shady place. La Nova, however, stands like an oasis of white, red and green in an otherwise dilapidated area. Their pizza is unsurpassed, and there are people around the world and in the pizza profession who agree with me. I will not eat anyone else's BBQ chicken wings. Theirs are simply the pinnacle. They have places to sit and eat, and the atmosphere is rife with Italian neighborhood people. It's most fun during a Bills game on TV, where the drivers line up one after another to get the deliveries out the door. I have never, ever been there when the place was not abuzz with activity - afternoon, night, whatever. Worth every penny.
