Went to Alec's for a cousin's 70th birthday party, on a recommendation by people who had been there before. While the food was okay (but nothing to write home about), the waitress was crabby and had no patience with our group. Management should have taken into consideration that it was for a 70th Birthday, meaning that there were gonna be elderly people there and elderly people have a tendacy to not read or hear well, and should have assigned a more patient waitresss. I guess a waitress doesn't need to be on her best behavior if there is a gratuity built into the bill. For what the food is, it was a tad overpriced. Being a restaurant `By the Sea` one would expect fresh, local seafood and not frozen/imported.
