Genki is one of my 16 yr old son's and 91 yr old mother's favorite place to go because it's reasonably priced and the food is ready for both of their ages of impatience. I will have to comment that I was terribly dissapointed one evening at about 8:30 pm, when they seated us just before their closing at 9pm. We sat at the larger conveyor food belts with sparsley anything to choose from. We witnessesed one couple sitting at the smaller conveyor food belt with much more plates of sushi... and it seem to be added to. We had to walk over to get what we wanted. When I questioned the imbalance of service and availability of food, it was explained that they were near closing and the food on the smaller conveyor belt had been going around for quite some time and would be discarded soon. Yet, we kept seeing the plates grow in multitude and still very few at our larger seating. We ordered four servings of shrimp tempura that seemed to be blackened and burnt a in a hurry. When I walked my mother out from the women's restroom, the employees were singing at the top of their lungs along with a blaring radio station, and flew a soapy trashed filled bag out by our booth and by my mother's feet. I also notice that the food server at the smaller conveyor belt was changing the trash bag on the rubbish can and still handling the plates on the belt. I also observed from the door that is exposed from the restrooms that the same waiter was enjoying the sushi along with an emoployee eating the so called `soon to be leftovers`. I not only thought that it was unsanitary and unprofessional, but also surmised that the manager was loading the smaller conveyor belt to feed his employees after a long hard nite's work. But please, spare me the exhibition and the alibis. It would have been better if they explained to me at 8:30 that they were ready to close and that it would not be worth my time to have an enjoyable dining experienced.
