In town visiting a friend, she had a certificate for this restaurant bought from a online auction, small portions of very marginal tasting food. The bill totaled $42 and change and when we handed over the certificate for $50 plus a $10 tip (in cash), the owner said he would not take it. He took the cash and clicked my friend's card for the full amount. She was so embarrassed, she refused to question it. She paid nearly $60 for a miserable dinner, I am shocked at this. I used to love L.A., what a shame. Please write if you have gone through this too at this restaurant, they deserve the bad reviews!
