I have been hunting ducks and pheasants in Mitchell for a few years and had driven by Chef Louie's but never ate there until last season. Now I kick myself in the rear for not going there sooner. I live in the OC area in SoCal, and we have many fine eateries that serve good beef...but this place in the middle of nowhere can rival any other place I have been to and is still less than half the price of the others. Great wine list too! I am leaving in a month with my dad, brother-in-law and a family friend to go for a week to Mitchell for hunting and the #1 topic on our minds is `how many times can we go to Louie's` and not feel guilty about raising our cholesterol levels!!
