A great introduction to the city. When my friends come to visit, I take them to Lazlo's in the Haymarket. For lunch, I recommend the tuna melt. It is simply amazing, served on an english muffin, with melted cheese. Add cottage cheese or a side salad and you still feel healthy.
For pre-drinks before the bar, my friends and I get free or minimal cost home-brewed beer shots. Just ask for one at the bar. Luna Sea is delicious. A piled-high plate of nachos, add beef or chicken, is a great appetizer to split. It's huge!
I also enjoy the French Dip with a baked potato. The fries, however, have a chicken seasoning to them and are delicious.
It's a little higher priced then say, Applebee's, but it's not ridiculous and it's delicious. Plus the atmosphere is very casual, jeans approved or dress up.
Both locations are great, too. And don't forget to ask for your free loaf of bread.
