The Village Cafe closed permanently in the Spring of 2008, will be torn down soon and replaced by condos. I will miss the delicious, large-portioned italian food, cozy atmosphere and pleasant servers. A frequent visitor for years, it felt as familiar to me as going to a relative's home for a weekly visit and big family meal. The history of the Village, how it began and how it stayed so very long is charming. I am still looking for an equivalent replacement. Grande memorie, Grazie!
