If you're tired of the same old chain type steak places and you'd really like to experience a part of Evansville's history, you have have to try House of Come. Remember the old saying, `never judge a book by its cover`? You have to use this when experiencing Come for the first time. If you are expecting a world class environment, keep driving. But if you'd like the best New York Strip in town, or succulent pork chops, hot yummy Arabic bread, mouth watering kabobs...this is the place. First, there are the weird Christmas decorations in July and then the walls lined with eclectic horse racing pictures from the past 49 years, dingy walls and nicotine stained ceilings from years past. The waitresses know the best things to order and will never steer you wrong. Don't expect a quiet dinner as people love to gather, laugh and have a few drinks. If you know what to expect going in, you'll love how you feel leaving. After flying for Northwest Airlines as a Flight Attendant worldwide, it's one of my all time favorite places to eat....nope...my alltime favorite!!!! Give me my kabobs!!!!!
