I've never responded to a site such as this. I realize the nature of opinion but there should be some recourse to such one that is so off. Of course I can't speak to the customer getting ill. But the allegation that a la Lucie has a history of health depart. trouble is not true. I've worked there since she has opened 22 yrs. ago and I can assure everyone that we have NEVER had a serious health depart. complaint. We usually score over 90 percent. Sounds like the customer is a cheap inexperienced diner. Are food is very rich and somewhat exotic. That could account for the sickness. They never mentioned how much they had to drink. That combined with the rich food could have done it. But it seems to me that a restaurant does not stay in business and in favor (we are busier than ever) by making the clients sick. Disease rules this restaurant. I became violently sick the last time I ate here. I found that this place has a long standing bad record with the health department. The food is not only unsafe, but out of sight over priced, $15 for a bowl of onion soup!!! The last indignity was the that the waiter padded my check because he was not happy with the tip. I had to contact my credit card to stop payment and notify the restaurant. When the owner was informed of the waiter's theft, she it was justified because of the amount of the tip. This is the last place you should ever go to. -- 8/28/2002 5:11:15 PM
