I have dined here twice in the past 2 month. Both times my wife and I were guests of others. I am certainly glad I didn't have to pay to eat here.

I think this restaurant has an interesting atmosphere, a great wine selection, and a superb wait staff. I only wish the food was half as good. It is certainly prepared and served artistically, but for the price I would like something that actually tastes good.

Both times we were served a caviar amouse buche that nobody found tasty. I had vension with an olive reduction and cocoa sauce. The meat was good but, the Olive reduction was so-so and I am really glad I had wine to wash the taste of the cocoa sause out of my mouth. I did have a scallop plate as an apetizer that was fairly good.

Well we really enjoyed ourselves both times we visted Tru, we are going to pass on future invites. The quality of the food just isn't worth our time.
