THANK YOU for sharing the truth about this place. We stopped going there, too! We would bring the family there every few weeks for years. Ordering the same dishes. The waitress even knew the dishes by heart. This time, they brought out a spicy tofu dish covered in brown sauce. We specifically asked for PLAIN TOFU. So, you know what they did? They brought the dish BACK to the kitchen, WASHED it water, then, actually tried to RE-serve it us! Outrageous! I decided out of principle, not to tip the waitress. That's when the waiter, pulled the same move on me. He acted extremely indignant and actually ordered us to `never come back again!` I can't tell you the number of times I've seen this same waiter treat paying customers like they were garbage. I also want you to know that we CANCELLED the payment through our credit card company which agreed that this restaurant should really be held accountable for a terrible dining experience. We don't expect to be treated special. But, we don't expect the food to be re-constituted. And, as for the customer service, it's not as bad as the decor. Their carpet has never been cleaned. The fish tank is grungy. Please read the previous review. Then, this one. Take some good advice. Avoid this place. It really shouldn't be allowed to operate. It's time for a new restaurant in that space.

As a loyal customer w/ family for a number of years, I was extremely disappointed on a recent visit. First off, if you arrive at 8:30pm on any night - even weekend nights - be prepared to be told to rush your order because their kitchen stops cooking promptly at 9:00pm. We ordered Chardonnay with dinner and received a bottle of "two-buck Chuck" - a reference to the cheap $1.99 wine sold at Trader Joe. The bill arrived and they had the gall to charge us $18 for the bottle - 9x the price of the wine!! Even great restaurants don't mark up their wines more than 2x or 3x. When I asked about their excessive charge, I received a curt explanation. Upon leaving, a server who didn't even wait on our table made a curt remark about the reduced tip his co-worker got from us as a result of gouging us on the wine. This restaurant ought to take a long, hard look at how they value their customer base, since there are a number of very good Chinese restaurants in this area. As good as the food can be at times, and it is, it doesn't overshadow good service and attitude. We will certainly not be coming back based on this recent experience. -- 3/27/2006 2:47:43 PM
