Could it be that you were a little naive in assuming that the champagne would be complimentary? I've been to the L.A. and N.Y. restaurants several times and the food is delightful at least. However, asian food is my favorite. You might want to stick to PF Chang....I love them as well.- Is follow up to post by jpl3 ...

Same exact thing happened to our party of 4 just 2 days earlier!!
Never saw a menu..."we'll give you a taste of several classics...". Champagne cart comes immediately and we assume as complimentary since we're on a "fixed price" type meal. Meal was mediocre @ $275. Champagne charge: 10 glasses @ $40/g= $400!! Outrageous!!
We should have refused to pay.
The restaurant and owner refused to respond to attempts to resolve in spite of certified letter, email & calls. All documented.
