The `new` owners, after the original, didn't make it long. They're actually going to open up again, under different managment, AGAIN, and it seems a bit more promising. I used to work there (under the original management) and went to visit under the new management (not so great). Met the new manager (for the 3rd go round) and he seems VERY nice and knowledgable. Seen the menu too. Looks to be almost the exact same as the old one (minus the Focaccia sandwiches - which were my fav, but never a big seller, so i can see why they left it off). So, I'm hopeful. Will definetely go check it out. They're supposed to open first week in November. - Is follow up to post by kims ...
I TOTALLY agree...we ate there yesterday for the first time and were very disappointed. My husband did get the chicken fingers which looked to be the same as before but we didn't like anything else. My caesar salad was SWIMMING in dressing and I love salad dressing. I couldn't even finish it. We all loved the chicken grill sandwiches and those are not on the menu now. The restaurant even has a funny, musty smell now. I am not sure when, if ever, we will go back. They need to hire the old chef to come back and make Silvertron what it used to be!! -- 3/12/2007 12:54:39 PM
