When you had the second problem you should have not gone back. I feel for you. My wife and I took some family members out to eat there 9/22/2007. We had a bad experiance with just about every piece of food that was served on our plates. It started with the cornbread, which was so heavy in texture,so we asked for another, the waiter brought another piece, same *crud. So we ordered our dishes. The plates we ordered sea food platers sucked, the shrimp and osyters were over cooked, two of the cold slaws looked old and two looked fresh plus the potatoes that came with the plates 3 out of 4 plate were cold when they should have been hot. We complained and we were not as lucky as you were, it was like OH WELL we have to fry the items we fry till they are crisp. Not like that when I have been at other seafood places before?????? So I will not go there again myself. My wife and I had ate there before long time ago and it was wonderful the food was great but now...maybe they changed management? I wouldn't consider going to eat at Bayou Grill plus this can not be cajun cooling,I go to Louisiana and eat cajun food this reataurant is a FAKE!!! (edited)

What's to know about The Bayou Grill: A little more than a week ago, I placed a to go order of "zydeco snapper", described on the menu as "grilled and smothered in CRAWFISH etoufee", for the first time. The meal was immaculate, teeming with crawfish. I recommended it to others, and looked forward to the next chance I would have to enjoy it again. Last night, I placed another order for the same meal. This particular rice and filet combination was not smothered in crawfish etoufee. Instead, it came with a bowl of "zydeco sauce" packaged separately. I was very disappointed to discover that the zydeco sauce, which resembled etoufee, contained absolutely no crawfish. I made another call to the restaurant and spoke to the gentleman with whom I had dealt. I expressed my disappointment and relative dissatisfaction. He apologized and assured me that I would be taken care of with my next order, implying, if not explicitly stating, I would then receive extra crawfish. Today, I went there again. I politely explained what happened last night, including what I had been told. I was there to order yet another zydeco snapper, this time expecting to be compensated for last night's mix up. The waitress appeared understanding and sympathetic. She then conveyed my information to the manager, if not also an owner, in my presence. This woman appeared skeptical and unsympathetic, suggesting I cannot count to zero. She then indicated that she would see to it "some" crawfish were included in my meal. Even if I received more than the normal amount of crawfish with my original order last week, today's order definitely did not contain any extra crawfish. I will not be returning to The Bayou Grill. -- 8/29/2006 9:06:37 PM
