We very often eat at Mancy's. I have to say that the meal we had tonite was absolutely the worst I've eaten in a restaurant for a long time. The white fish was dry and very fishy tasting. The orzo that accompanied it was very bland....like right out of the pot onto the plate. I've ordered this entre before, so I was very disappointed. My husband ordered the spaghetti...how do you say oregano. It's all you could taste. Tonite's experience was one that we will both soon hope to forget.- Is follow up to post by rominn966 ...
Had my first Mancy's meal..I will return. The atmosphere is very comfortable and pleasant; Portions are quite plentiful. The Caesar salad was extra good (with anchovies); the warm bread with a roasted garlic rather than butter was terrific; the chocolate dessert was oh, la, la! When I first bit into my fish, it had an overpowering flavor of lemon and some kind of vinegarette, but I think some of it had simply splashed on the fish from the spinach. Otherwise, it was quite good. Wood-grilled. The service was superb. -- 9/27/2002 4:12:25 PM
