Came on a Friday evening, exspecting an hour wait. We were sitted at the bar to wait for our table and ordered a voka tonic in a tall glass. First of all the tonic was horrible and the glass was a small 'huricane glass' approx 6 oz. first thing that went bad. Drank half and then ordered a beer, no problem. Our table was ready in about a half hour- pretty good for a Friday night. The waitress was rather gruff but was probably working hard and just waited to get through the heavy work night. My wife ordered the clam couder that can luke warm( more on that later) and the crab cake dinner. I ordered a salad and the broiled flounder, not stuffed. This was were the really bad situation started. The dinner was served with a baked potato and steamed veg. The flouder, was a larger portion then I exspected, was not cooked- cold etc. The top piece was warm , however the rest of the fish was cold ( the waitress agreed with the assessment). The potato was so well cooked that it was brown on the inside. Not at all fresh- seemed like it was cooked in foil at 7AM left in the steamer for MANY MANY hours. The veg were at best warm. My wife's meal again had a large portion but again the veg were warm , howevr, she did luck out on the potato. The waitress asked if I waited something else and seemed taken back that I did not order anything else. That night my wife started to have stomach problems that last for several days. I believe the warm clam couder got her sick. I memtioned the bad meal on my way out but did understand that they could do nothing about the poor service , the bad tonic, the over cooked potato, the warm veg.,and the seemingly and probably bad clam couder. The sad part about this situation was that I wanted my wife to dine at a place were my parents had taken me as a child.
