Food was awful!! I had shrimp (which I love) and it was VERY bad! I ate 2 pieces and could not eat anymore for fear that I would end up in the hospital. Tasted like it was either not fresh or had been stored at improper temperatures. My wife had crab cakes and had a similar experience. Prices are not reasonable either, which would be okay if the food was superior, but it was not! I spoke with a local the very next day and he advised that the only way the place stays in business is because of the location - tourists are attracted. He told me that he has lived in Saint Augustine for 20+ years and eaten there only once, because it was bad then and he later found out about the local reputation. We had great food at several other places, such as Harry's and O.C. White's. Save your money (and potentially your health) and steer clear of Santa Maria's!
