Nice ambience with authentic crawfish etoufee.Crawfish were small but the recipe authentically Cajun.
Family sort of place, good for small groups.
Service was very efficient.
The Evanston and the one down by the UofC are both equally good.
These are excellent exceptions to the general rule u can't find cajun food outside of Lousiana. I like the cornmeal pancake and etoufee in particular.
Not sure how much of a poor boy place it is; more of a sitdown environment. Lively, bit noisy. Not super elegant but perfect for lunch or with family.
Expect some waits in Evanston; Dixie Kitchen seems comparably quicker, but could be 30-40 min+, esp with school going on.
