Yes, I live in Echo Park and know some food snobs who won't eat at Pizza Buona, and they are indeed missing out on this humble `little secret` - although it's pretty easily sited on the corner of Alvarado and Sunset! I love their eggplant parmigiana and their pizza rustica is to die for. Get it with the marinated shrimp and order a side of their marinated eggplant. Their submarine sandwich is also excellent on their yummy homemade bread! Prices are very reasonable, too. They are closed for the full month of August, in the Italian tradition.- Is follow up to post by sdjfljie ...
I agree one of the best. The place is small and the owners are nice, they treat you like you are home. All the food there is great. Love the pizza & sandwiches. Dinner dishes are good too. -- 3/15/2005 11:25:48 AM
