I see many of you guys don't travel often. As an avid traveler, keep in mind South Beach is a international tourist destination and expensive to dine and party. The reason gratuity is added is because you have international tourists from all over the world, and it is CUSTOMARY TO INCLUDE GRATUITY IN THEIR CHECKS as it is in EUROPE & most LATIN AMERICAN countries, as this is the how employees are paid. Imagine yourself working and servicing a table of six or more and all the demands and requests your table makes, running a bill and tipping only 10% or less only because you did'nt expect to pay so much for your meal. Unfortunately, you can get away with tipping $5 dollars at Billy Bob's Pig & Pig-out, but not in South Beach. Aside from the comments, Casablanca does serve very good food. Their mussels in garlic and Sauterne wine sauce is excellent. Their food is more Continental, with French/Italian influences. If you are not aware of that style of cuisine, then Burger King is about 2 miles down the road. You also pay for the view on Ocean Drive, with supermodels, celebrities and half naked HOT LATIN WOMEN, walking by,it's definitely worth it. Finally, if your on a tight budget, Casablanca restaurant is not the place for you, although you can always pack a brown bag and enjoy under balmy South beach breezes under the stars...
