Had a wonderful, relaxing, delicious vegetarian meal at Genoa created from the freshest seasonal ingredients with an attention to detail that is very rare in Portland. The staff was very accomodating, and when I made reservations asked whether or not I would eat fish, eggs, or cheese...since the menu is on the website, it's easy enough to see what is in the various courses and how they might be modified for a vegetarian. The food was exceptional and on a par with meals I've had in San Francisco, and the service was attentive without being intrusive. I'll definitely be returning, and would recommend Genoa for adventurous diners celebrating a special event or just wanting a relaxed, elegant meal in Portland - something of a rarity.
