I agree. I don't care how fabulous the food, atmosphere, etc. were, if the same thing had happened to me, I too, would NEVER go back.- Is follow up to post by tlbroylesatl ...
When leaving a cash tip but paying by card, my habit is to inform the server I intend to leave cash as a gratuity in ensure there is no misunderstanding. However, it is unfortunate the hostess didn't merely inquire if there was a problem with the service (e.g. no tip on the debit slip) vs. the embarassing bluntness of her comment. -- 2/9/2006 1:19:05 PM
