I TOTALLY agree...we ate there yesterday for the first time and were very disappointed. My husband did get the chicken fingers which looked to be the same as before but we didn't like anything else. My caesar salad was SWIMMING in dressing and I love salad dressing. I couldn't even finish it. We all loved the chicken grill sandwiches and those are not on the menu now. The restaurant even has a funny, musty smell now. I am not sure when, if ever, we will go back. They need to hire the old chef to come back and make Silvertron what it used to be!!- Is follow up to post by unhappyeater ...
This restaurant, in its reincarnation following the sad death of its former owner, has sullied the reputation of a once-terrific place to eat - we ate there today for the first time since it reopened and were shocked. The menu has dropped all the best things offered before, the prices are ridiculous, the wait staff is insolent and I couldn't shake the notion that there was a conscious effort to drive customers away. I had the BLT (6.95). It arrived dry (no mayonnaise) and when I asked for mayonnaise, the waiter tossed one of those little plastic mayonnaise envelopes in my direction. The bacon was greasy, the lettuce a few limp sheets of iceberg, the "texas toast", untoasted. We couldn't help but remember fondly the old days at Silvertron, when the menu was an adventure, the portions massive, and the atmosphere abuzz. Ah, well. Nothing lasts forever.
