Looking forward to our first time at the State Theatre, we were recommended to try Pearly Baker's. The dining room was cozy but the tables against the wall are too close together...I thought I was going to set my hair on fire with the candle so close behind me...You can barely get into your chair. The beer and rolls were good so we expected to have a nice dining experience. My cesar salad was bitter, croutons stale, sauce barely there; Crab soup had no visable crab in it...a poor rendition of `crab` soup. Entrees were awful. Pork tenderloin dish looked unappetizing and was tasteless; wasn't even sure if it was pork. My husband who will eat most anything left half of his plate. Pearly Baker chicken cooked so long I couldn't cut it. Burnt on bottom...chewing it was like eating chicken jerky. Most of it was left on the plate. (waitress said nothing about all the leftover food on our plates). We were grateful we didn't order the $29 steak! And where were the vegetables! I've never been to a restaurant that didn't serve some kind of vegetable on the plate. Would not try this place again...not even for sandwiches. It made our first experience to the Easton area a huge disappointment.
