Same Great Chicken....Horrific New Owner! I took my family to the Alki Homestead last night for a special dinner..we have loved it and dined there for years. The owner Tom paced around the restaurant all night and loomed at our table. He was absolutely rude and out of line with every member of my family. He butted into our conversation and told me not to stare because it was rude (twice)! He hovered over our table and made innappropriate comments about our drinks. He was totally out of line and I will not give him another dime of my money. There was also a very drunk patron (the guy I was staring at) that stumbled out of the women's bathroom and made gross comments. I felt like we were in some kind of sleazy bar, not the former wonderful Alki Homestead. My entire family is very upset about this experience. What a pathetic shame. The owner should know better, and I am sure his business will suffer if he doesn't fade into the background and stop trying to be cute.
