OVERPRICED A dozen friends (six couples) who wanted to have a reunion following a week Caribbean cruise choose Davio’s for the occasion. The waitress suggested ‘family style’ for this large group. We agree without asking the price. Several couples had eaten there before and knew prices were expensive. But we were all completely shocked with the check for the ‘overpriced Davio ‘family style’ dinner --- $236.00 per couple (includes tip, but not wine because Davio’s is BYOB) . We are all professionals who eat out everywhere and often. Trust me, the Davio overpriced dinner meals are not worth it! Although there was a great deal of food, we were all disappointed in the high prices for the “average” food we received. Somehow large portions don’t make a ‘fine dining’ experience nor deserve a hefty tariff. With so many great Italia restaurants of great value in the Pittsburgh area, we will never go back to this significantly overpriced place again.
