My wife & I went tonight, Valentine's Day of '07. The restaurant was EXTREMELY busy, like most, yet the wait wasn't too bad--it's a large restaurant with lots of seating. My wife had the baked mosticioli (sp), I had the top sirloin. We also had an order of their hot wings, and a glass of merlot, among other things. The food was excellent, and it did NOT taste like it was pre-made, or out of some kit.
Brinn was our server, and despite the restaurant being so busy, did an outstanding job taking care of us.
Two entrees, an appetizer, a couple of soft drinks, and a glass of wine, and it only came to just over $40. I live about an hour from Madison's, at Lake of the Ozarks, and despite many independently-owned, non-chain restaurants being in this area, I've found few (if any) that I enjoyed as much as Madison's. The same meal/visit would've cost me $55-$60 at The Lake.
Obviously, all restaurants have off-days--I guess you can't expect any place to have all good visits, nor all bad. From my experience, though, Madison's is definitely a place I'll go to again.
