I am quite disappointed with Astral Plane. Food was ok, but definitely not worth the money. Service, judge for yourself: 1) I live next door, so I walked over and asked for 7 o'clock reservation. I was told that they only had single 5:30 reservation available. I thanked the host, said that I'm going next door, and started to walk out. All of a sudden place became available and they reserved me for 7 o'clock. 2) My lobster soup was 95% water and 5% vegetables (I didn't complain) 3) They mixed up the vegetables between my plate and my wife's plate (I didn't complain) 4) I was eating off of a fixed menu (it was Valentine's). The server, never brought us the coffee that was on the menu (I didn't complain) 5) The server left out couple of the desert choices that were clearly served at the other tables (I didn't say anything) 6) The thing that annoyed me the most however, and the reason I decided to write this, is that they took a regular portion desert, split it in half and served to us as two pieces. Some of the other patrons had pieces twice the size of ours. We didn’t do anything to annoy the server to deserve such a bad service. Quite the opposite, we were cordial and pleasant, despite the lousy service from the start. I usually don't complain about service, food, whatever. I just don't go back. And Astral Plane is one place I am definitely NEVER going back to.
