I loved the orginal restaurant and was excited when they re-opened. My father (a serious Cleveland restauranteur) went here for Sun brunch right around when they re-opened. He said the food was terrible. Nevertheless, this past wkend we went back for a Saturday lunch. I thought that maybe over the course of the past yr. they would have all the kinks worked out. Not true. I ordered the French Onion soup and the Aviation Salmon which was supposed to have a lemon-thyme cream sauce with asparagus, green onion and fresh mushrooms, and served with garlic mashed potatoes. How an onion soup can NOT taste like onion is a mystery but the soup was barely warm, bland, salty, and had a really oily/greasy quality. The salmon was brought out with a warming cover (which was odd b/c we could see the kitchen from our table) and still the food was cold! The sauce had a thick film on it, didn't have any mushrooms and only one tiny piece of asparagus. The `garlic mashed potatoes` didn't have ANY garlic flavor! At least the salmon was cooked properly but I struggled to enjoy it since it too was cold. I really thought that with only 8 or so tables being served the cooks would have time to really prepare a great meal but I was extremely disappointed.
