  A lovely hostess promised to introduce us to dishes throughout the evening. She disappeared, then, a male waiter served us, pushing us to buy drinks. No menu. Ask how much they charge for drinks before ordering-your bill may shock you. We ordered the chef's special, which included a live fish skinning. The presentation and quality of the food is good. The dessert is special--different from anything in the world. They never served more than 3 tables in the restaurant. Why there weren't more diners in the restaurant? At the end we weren't happy they had a not-so-standard 18% gratuity added to the bill--that is usually reserved for parties of six or more. After they handed us our coats, one belatedly remembered to say `Happy Birthday`(we were celebrating). You felt as though you weren't so special in this vacant restaurant. It could be that others are dining in other restaurants in Chicago.
