McGee's Irish Pub and Restaurant has the friendliest and most genuine hospitality in Anderson, SC - probably in the upstate of SC. The bartender is from Dublin and is phenomenal. The music is mostly Celtic folk based, but does vary to other folk types as well to add local flavor. The menu is world class pub fare and an excellent value. It's truly a fun and happy place to be. They know almost all of their regulars by name (and there's alot of regulars) and throw some of the best seasonal parties in town. They don't tolerate any troublemakers which is what makes it one of the only family friendly places in town. Definately worth a visit or 20.
