Very disappointing steak. I got the double filet (14 oz, I believe). It was way too charred for a Medium Rare (which was also closer to Medium than to rare). I considered sending it back but was so hungry, I kept going. Overall, the steak lacked seasoning. For $40, this steak should have rocked my world. I've made far better steaks at home on my own grill for half of what I paid for this one. We got the scallops wrapped in bacon for an app. This was delicious but were given just 3 of them for two people? I don't recommend the Morton's salad - it was bland, even with the anchovies added. Grilled asparagus was excellent. For dessert, had the chocolate filled chocolate cake with ice cream, which truly melts deliciously in your mouth. Service was terrific. Had flowers delivered to table and they printed a menu with a birthday message to my wife. Dessert was also on the house. Overall, would probably not visit again. If I want a good steak in Charlotte, I would go to Firebirds. Their steak is about half the price of Morton's, twice as good, and they have more affordable sides, wine selection and desserts.
