I don't know why I didn't know about this restaurant since I've been going to Lawry's since 1975. I went to Tam O'Shanter with high expectations only to be disappointed. The atmosphere was OK for a place that has been opened since the 1920s. The service was average, I don't recall the waitress ever smiled but was she was pleasant, I could tell that her mind was someplace else. I ordered prime rib expecting it be of Lawry's quality but it didn't even come close, the Yorkshire pudding looked and tasted more like a dry muffin, not very good. I guess I was so disappointed with both that I can't remember how the cream spinach was. I don't understand why the food at this restaurant is so inferior to Lawry's when its part of the same family and the prices are similar.
