On 8/31/06 We dined with another couple. It took 1-1/4 hours to get our meal which was brought to us cold, so we sent it all back. The waitress kept forgetting everything. She finally brought our check and never returned again. We had in the past considered McGrath's one of our favorite places to eat, so we tried a meal last night 9/28/06. We found the bar area so cold we moved to the outside. After 50 minutes and of course the temp dropped, we came back inside and sat in the bar close to the door. It never got any warmer no matter which side of the room we tried. The reasoning for the cold bar was the cooling system was connected to the kitchen. It was voiced by a male waitress that they didn't want to have the cooks roast so the air conditioner could not be turned down. What a fine system! The meal was disappointing, the fresh salmon was over cooked- very dry, when ordered specifically undercooked. The waitress took 20 minutes to bring cream for coffee, finally I got up and asked the hostess for cream. More bread was never offered. We are unhappy that McGrath's is not the quality it was in the past. We plan to move on and look for other more suitable restaurants in the Medford-Rogue Valley. Mike & Renne' Mallory Davis
