Unbelieveable! This restaurant is a Birmingham institution. I moved away from Birmingham 8 years ago and I still miss the fabulous Fish Market food. The seafood is fresh from the gulf. They use their own trucks to bring it to town. The prices are great and the portions are large. The prices are exactly as the DineSite review stated. The reason you have to wait in line is because the food is awesome and so many people know that. The waitresses come to help take orders in lines to keep you from waiting for long. With food this good, I never minded a little wait!- Is follow up to post by baradellt ...
At this place you have to stand in line and read your menu. You are felt rushed waitresses even come through line taking your order. The menu is quite lengthy so it takes several minutes to read over it you have no time to really see what the restaraunt has to offer while standing in line. The food once you get it is certaily not worth the price if you want good seafood come to south Mississippi where the service is friendly and you get your moneys worth of food. The entire staff at this place never even tried to smile or even said one word except "next order and how much the bill was" our experience was terrible here. -- 7/3/2006 10:33:21 AM
