I've started going to Blue Ribbon Arlington where my colleagues raved about it and believes it's `best BBQ north of the Mason-Dixon Line`. It's certainly lived up to the high expectation and I've been frequented for about 6 years now. The staff (both Newton and Arlington) is very friendly and helpful. Most importantly, they're very patient with you if you're overwhelmed by the selection.
Food is great. Its Smoked Ribs (Dry rubbed instead of wet ribs) are unmatched within the I-495 ring, and AWESOME mashed potatoes. The Meat falls off the bone and melts in your mouth. I believe everything is homemade from lemonade, ice tea to BBQ sauce.
This place is mostly for take-out with a few bar stools. It serves the purpose. If you're looking for a dine in experience for the family, this is definitely not a good option.
In terms of value, you probably can't find anything close to its quality at the same price range.
If your preference is wet ribs with a heavy sauce, then you may find this one a bit strange. Personally, I love them both.
