Service abominable at Hawthorne Lane. I'm sorry to say that while the food was, in fact, very good, we left feeling quite ripped off. Our waiter paid us no attention and was brusque when he did manage to stop by the table. He seemed to be preoccupied with another table in the room and was Mr Hale 'n Hearty Goodfellow at that table, but never came by to freshen our drinks or see how we were doing. It took him the longest time to bring bread to the table and when he did, after our 3d request, he sort of flung it down onto the table with attitude. It took one solid hour before our entrees were served! $500 later my wife and I and our in-laws (party of 7) left feeling quite disappointed. As we were leaving the evening manager gave us a cursory `How was everything?` and we let her know quite candidly of our displeasure. She basically blew us off. Last time we dine with you, folks.
