Whenever I travel to New York from North Carolina I visit Uncle Nick's because my good friend lives nearby. The food is always good and the service exceptional. What I appreciate most about Uncle Nicks is they take such good care of my friend who is older and often dines alone. She is almost 90 and I won't say who she is because she would kill me for telling her age. The owners of this establishment should be commended for the attention they give my friend and how on occassion, if it is icy or freezing or snowing, they will send something down the street for her to eat.
