After visiting twice, my husband and I have decided not to ever return to the Japanese Palace in Fort Worth. Japanese food is one of our favorites, and we have had better. It is possible to eat this for about half the price and both times we were embarassed as we were leaving. It seems the employees do not know how to scan a credit card - a credit card that has a minimal balance and is paid off monthly. Each time they said the credit card did not work, but no one else has had this problem. And we used two different cards within a six month span. We were charged a total of $5 extra to get fried rice which is normally included in the $22 and higher priced dinners. And if you want a soft drink, you will have to pay a separate bill for it. It seemed like quite a hassle for just one dinner. Upon the first visit, as we got up to leave after paying, we were blockaded by a group of three women since they forgot to add a $2 charge for something. It was awkward and everyone stared at us since they probably thought we did not pay our bill. The waitresses and manager took the ticket and added the charges then we had to come up with additional money to pay so the tip would be sufficient. It looked and felt really bad and humiliating.
