We went on the dinner cruise on the Spirit of Philadelphia on 080506, and, despite the many negative reviews which I've seen posted here, had a lovely and enjoyable experience all around. The food, the music and entertainment, and the service were first-class all the way. Obviously, others did not have a similar experience. However, I would recommend the Spirit of Philadelphia without reservation.
