What a fabulous find!! What a surprise to find a place with such delicious food!! There we were, two foodies from NYC, trying desparately to find a nice place to eat, to treat my parents to a night out, said parents having moved to the Lumberton, NJ area last fall... Although the place looked a little time-worn from the outside, inside, there were linen tablecloths on the tables. The menu, although somewhat limited, offered stratightforward choices, such as prime rib and a seafood with penne pasta dish. My father had the Steak Diane; my husband opted for the prime rib; my mother chose the seafood augratin, which had a lovely, light sauce, not at all gloppy. She is a light eater and she devoured every last morsel!! I ordered something which I thought had no tomato sauce only to discover, chagrined, that I had stopped reading at the `white wine and garlic` in the sauce; however, when our friendly waitress, Karen, saw my extreme distress, the kitchen very graciously retooled my entree sans tomato sauce. If you ever have occasion to visit in the heart of New Jersey farmland, don't miss the opportunity to try this really first-rate dining spot; from two ultra snobby food critics, we give it the two thumbs up!!
