Too bad that is the one they chose to close. It was our favorite, also. We haven't been to any of the other ones sicne they closed the one at Pungo.- Is follow up to post by titefit ...
I've dined at all three locations. The restaurant at Pungo is much better than the ones in Hampton or Laskin Road. The Pungo restaurant is really the jewel of the three. The others are quite cramped - really aren't big enough for the number of diners they try to seat. The tables were packed closely together. The service at the Hampton location was not very good anytime I went there. The Laskin location is marginally better. Service was much better at Pungo - and there was elbow room! The food at the Pungo location was much better than the other locations also. The others either had a lack of seasoning or too much Old Bay. I think the cooks at Pungo found the right balance.
The only downside to Pungo - it's one heck of a drive, especially coming out of Suffolk! -- 11/19/2004 12:46:14 PM
