unfortunately biba has been closedfor over 2 years....
it was replaced by Excelcior
after a major remodel, owned
by partners from Grill 23
and Harvest.
Lydia Shire moved on to purchase
and transform Locke Ober to a
new level of excellence. She
was a consultant and menu developer
for Excelsior, however this
arrangement soon turned sour and
an amibicle bowing out of Lydia
Shire has occured, so the grapevine
of an very active and sometimes
hyperactive restautant scene can
create!!
Lydia Shire is amongst, in my
opinion, one of the greatest of
the new American Chefs since
Julia Child, hands down!
Seek out whereever she may be
working the kitchen, you are surely
in for a treat!
