The night-time scenery is romantic and impressive. If you want a seat near the window, be prepared to wait the restaurant does not reserve those seats. The seat that I had was near the entrance or piano area, but my view was a bit crummy because a building next to the restaurant blocked my view. The hospitality is awesome. The restaurant allows people to view the scenery on a level above the restaurant. If you are interested in just viewing the place no reservation is required and be prepared to wait in a long line. The food isn't so hot, but the view of the windy city is great. If you want a romantic spot to take your date, then I recommend going to the Signature Room located in the John Hancock Center on the 95th floor.- Is follow up to post by bascom3 ...
The night-time scenery was definitely the best. Having dinner atop the John Hancock building on the 95th floor will impress anyone you are with. But food can definitely be improved upon. Overall, I would recommend this place for the scenery, and move upstairs to the 96th floor for some intimate drinks with the date, but I would not agree to go there JUST for the food. -- 11/11/1999 8:41:44 AM
