How extensive is your knowledge about the food from different regions in Ecuador? What makes you say that the food is not so Ecuadorian? Ecuador is a small country with surprisingly significant differences between the food from different regions. The dishes are from the coast (Costa) and the highlands (Sierra). The Sango de Camarones is from my region (Manabi, in the Coast) and I can tell you that they prepare it really well! Other dishes from the coast such as Seco de Gallina y Seco de Chivo are also very good. And the `quaker` takes me to my childhood! I can't give my opinion about the food from the highlands. - Is follow up to post by mlopez7891 ...
The owner's wife is salvadorean as well as the rest of the staff, however, the service is questionable
and the food is not so Ecuadorian....!!! -- 5/11/2006 3:45:46 PM
