We ate there in 06-06 as we were staying at a hotel nearby, wasn't impressed either. Very bad cut of beef for the price (Sizzler type steak at Mortons prices). Didn't have the service problem you did, but I did threaten to cough on the hostess if she didn't seat us promptly when she said it would be a few minutes for our table even though the place was nearly empty (was just getting over a cold at the time and wasn't in the mood for taking any gruff from anyone)- Is follow up to post by lisasimpson ...
On a day to honor our mom, we took her to this restaurant for Mother's Day.(6 of us). WHAT A MISTAKE!! The place was HOT, no ventilation, busy, and the crowd was stuffed into 2 dining rooms. We were put in the smaller dining area. The food delivery & service were both VERY slow. The prime rib was expensive and subpar; no taste, like the other reviewer stated. No entree was less than $37. BUT.... The WORST was the BAD SERVICE! Our server was horribly RUDE to us for no apparent reason. He snapped at us that there were NO refills on sodas. After rushing our dinners at us, he came back and asked if we wanted dessert THREE times, we said no thanks, he snapped "Nothing?? No coffee? Man, that's how I make my commission...Thanks for your support" in a sarcastic way. We were in shock! As we were waiting to get the bill he asked if we wanted more water, we said no. He then raised his voice and snipped "It's FREE...FREE WATER," insinuating that we were cheap??? And in front of the rest of the patrons? How embarrassing! This attitude, after spending $240? Concerns & Complaints to the management were of NO USE. They didn't really care. -- 5/27/2006 10:24:13 PM
