My sister, her husband and I tried this place for lunch. As soon as we were seated my sister and bro-in-law had decided that they would go for the buffet. I wished to go la carte. The server/ordertaker brought me the menu but kept insisting I should go for the buffet `It is really worth the deal` which I found a li'l strange but I still went for it. Whenever I went for a helping the waiters and the entire staff hovered around me suspiciously looking at my every move as if I would spit in the food or something. I felt very insulted and i thought it was just me and I confided to my sister about how i felt. A few minutes later a gentleman from the next table went for a helping to the buffet and from his look I just had a feeling he was disturbed by something. I hesitantly inquired and he had similar views and well he thought that it was just him. I have a masters degree, studied in private schools and was insulted today. A while later I observed this other couple sitting across the room. They DID NOT get the same treatment. I was sickened and furious and never felt so insulted that these people actually had the balls to be racist in todays NEW YORK when they themselves have a history of colonialism from where they belong. To top it, the food was average and over priced. At the end I had 2 small pieces of bread on my table which were leftovers and I dint want them to throw them since I do not advocate throwing food. I asked for a foil or a small box to take that with me and waiter went to ask the head waiter who was standing right in front of me at a li'l distance and he looked at us and made a disagreeing face with a yell `noooo. no food pack`. I dont know if these guys recycle the bread which I dipped my hands into or just throw it. I was just disgusted. I am still DISGUSTED. I fell ill by the stomach and threw up the entire day after. I blame the food since I did not have anything else the rest of the day so sickened by the experience.I strongly suggest staying away from this place.
