Thursday, 6/8/06 I, as well as a number of other employees of the American Museum of Natural History eat at the restaurant on 77th Street and Columbus avenue frequently. We make reservations and usually they are honored. Today I had a reservation for l2:30 and this was made with Laurie. She knew which table I wanted and that I was waiting for someone to join me. The table was set for two people. My colleague, Dr. Paige West, arrive early and when I came in and gave my name and asked for that table, theY DID NOT TELL ME THAT SHE WAS ALREADY THERE AND WAITING FOR ME. She waited and looked around the restaurant for me (we had never met before)and no one asked me if I was waiting for someone who was looking around the restaurant. I find this whole situation very distressing and am sure that I will never eat in that resaturant again. I called and told the person who answered the phone that I wanted a letter of apology that I could send to my colleague as well.
